As the first show in the boating season, the Cannes Yachting Festival is Europe’s leading in-water boating event. The major players in pleasure yachting attend the festival to launch the show season.Guests and attendees will have the opportunity to meet the SMSR team and discuss opportunities for registration, seafarer certification, and fiscal advantages available to San Marino-flagged vessels.Representatives from the San Marino Maritime Navigation Authority and State Secretariat for Finance and Budget will also be in attendance in support of the Shipping Registry. “We are very excited to be back at the Cannes Yachting Festival for the second year in a row. For immediate release Rear Admiral (res) Giovanni Greco joins San Marino Ship Register Rear Admiral Greco will support the team on institutional relations and the development of national legislation Republic of San Marino, May 26th, 2022 – San Marino Ship Register welcomes Rear Admiral Giovanni Greco to its team and entrusts him with the development of institutional relations and national maritime legislation.A graduate of the Genoa Nautical Institute, R. Adm. Greco’s career started on board merchant ships in Europe, the United States, the Persian Gulf, and the Far East. In 1991, he joined the Italian Coast Guard until his retirement in May 2022. During his service, he was harbour master in Fano, Ortona, Crotone, and Vice Commandant in Ravenna. Moreover, he was a lecturer at the IMO Academy IMSSEA, ILO International Training Centre, the World Maritime University, as well as Training Centre A. De Rubertis in Genoa.“I look forward to joining the effort of making San Marino and its shipping registry leaders in the maritime sector, by providing excellent and tailor-made services to shipowners around the world”. For immediate release San Marino Ship Register announces new hire in technical team San Marino boosts international outreach of its shipping registry, grows its Europe-based technical team Republic of San Marino, April, 2022 – The Republic of San Marino continues to expand its presence in the shipping sector, following the successful opening of its international shipping registry to pleasure and commercial vessels. San Marino Ship Register has recently welcomed marine technical engineer Nicola Camorali to its technical team, confirming the Registry’s focus on the highest standards of technical support and fastest response times to a global audience. Mr. Camorali’s career in the maritime sector spans twenty-two years in various roles including marine technical superintendent, DPA, fleet and technical manager, specialising in merchant and tanker units. “I am very proud to join the SMSR team and I start this adventure with great enthusiasm. The team is highly skilled, and the warm welcome received from them is a further incentive to do a great job and achieve our goals”.
