San Marino Ship Register’s work is in line with the International Maritime Organization’s mission statement regarding the condition of employment of seafarers.
Having ratified the MLC2006 IMO convention, SMSR operates by the highest standards of compliance with national and international regulations for the fair and safe employment of the seafarers working on board of San Marino flagged vessels.
San Marino offers a flexible range of solutions for the seafarers and the shipowners of any nationality, allowing the possibility to use any national Collective Bargaining Agreement as base of the Seafarer’s Employment agreement, provided the full compliance with the provisions of the Convention and the mutual agreement between the Seafarer and the Shipowner. In addition, it is also available, as further option, a San Marino Seafarer Employment Agreement.
